Introduction

Helping designers realise their design visions, Principal Doorsets offers a wide range of finishes suitable for any environment or application.

Polished
Our timber finishes include polished as standard 25% gloss levels. We can add Hygienilac:

Not employing silver technology and is completely UV stable having Anti-bacterial properties that do not migrate on contact with water.

  • Staphylococcus aureus Methicillin-Resistant Strain (MRSA); 
  • Listeria monocytogenes;
  • Clostridium difficile;
  • staphylococcus aureus;
  • salmonella enteriditis;
  • klebsiella pneumoniae;

 Product has passed British Standard 6250 tests for severe usage. The active ingredient has approvals from the following organisations:

  • Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
  • Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approval for indirect or incidental food contact
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

 It is non-carcinogenic, non-mutagenic and non-skin sensitising

Fully Painted

Doorsets supplied fully painted to match your colour schemes. Our standard gloss level for fully painted doors is 10%. A fully finished door has a longer life cycle and requires less maintenance. 

Laminate and PVC facings
Decorative laminates and other PVC facings are available from our range to give increased impact resistance. Laminate finishes have a surface colour and slightly textured finish, PVC has a through colour and smooth finish (WiteRock TM, or fully textured "Pebolite" for high impact resistance. The specifier has complete freedom of choice from facing manufacturers’ ranges.

Metal facings
Sheet metal can be bonded to the door construction during the manufacturing process. Steel frames including stainless steels can be supplied finished to complement door facings.

All doors have facings over hardwood lips to both vertical edges softened with a small break edge chamfer, or lips to all 4 edges as standard lips to the two vertical edges only is available if required.
